Here’s what you’ll learn.

Part 1: End Use Drives Strategy

In order to select the right photographer and get the images you need, you have to know what your end use will be. For instance, have you ever gotten to the end of a shoot, looked at all the images and discovered you don’t have enough horizontals for the website? This is why you need to know what your end use is before everything else. How will you use the images, where, and for what purpose? Do they need to evoke emotion, excitement, nostalgia, or curiosity? Do they have to make a donor want to give or a parent visit campus? We’ll show you examples of photography for enrollment, development, magazines, social media, sports, events and more using Michael's images and other school photographers. Knowing how and where you’re going to use your images is a critical first step in maximizing your relationship with a professional photographer.

Part 2: Selecting the Right Photographer and Writing the RFP

In this webinar, we explore the different kinds of photographers and discuss which are best for school photography. (Just because they did your cousin Julie’s wedding, doesn't mean they can convey the private school experience.) We show you how to find the best photographer for your project and the types of photographers to avoid. We review writing the RFP and give you tips and tricks to ensure you dot the i’s and cross the t’s so that you get what you need, for the price you expected, and without any surprises. We even cover details like insurance, security checks and rights restrictions. This one webinar will pay for itself in protecting your school with a well-crafted RFP.
