WHO CAN ENTER?

Competition is open to PRIVATE AND INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS, THEIR AGENCIES, AND THEIR DESIGNERS. Schools must serve students in any grade from PK through 12th grade or PG in the United States. (Sorry, no international schools, yet.) For this year only, all entries can be produced in any year, any time, through 10/27/17 except for categories #1, 4, 7, 22. Those categories must have been produced between SEPTEMBER 1, 2016 through OCTOBER 27, 2017. There is no limit to the number of entries that can be submitted by any one school or agency. Any item can be submitted in multiple categories in the same year provided a separate entry fee is submitted for each. Materials produced by InspirED and/or its affiliates are not eligible.

HOW WILL THE AWARDS BE JUDGED?

Entries will be judged on sets of criteria outlined on the Brilliance Awards page. In the event that there aren't sufficient or awardable entries in any one category, the category will not be judged and entry fees will be refunded. We anticipate there will be a Gold, Silver and Bronze award for each category and ties are possible. Each entry will be judged by a panel of experts in private school marketing who are representatives from schools and/or businesses. Judges will recuse themselves from judging entries created by their own school or company.

WHAT IS THE ENTRY FEE?

There is a $59.00 fee for each entry, payable by credit card. Entry fees are not refundable.

WHAT ARE THE DEADLINES?

The deadline for completion of the entry form is MIDNIGHT, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2017. The deadline for submission of materials is MIDNIGHT, MONDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2017 by email or postmarked by snail mail. Winners will be notified by e-mail no later than FRIDAY, DECEMBER 29, 2017. Winners and winning entries will be posted on the InspirED website and social media channels.

HOW DO I ENTER?

WHY SHOULD WE ENTER?

InspirED recognizes the value of competition. Winning an award...

  • demonstrates the value of your work to fellow employees, school parents, and leadership.
  • recognizes your team and affirm their work.
  • is great publicity for your school in the local, regional and national community.
  • benchmarks your accomplishments against peer schools.
  • is a great resume-builder.
  • makes you feel good!

Think you'll never win? Three of the 2016 winners were K-8 schools, including two Gold winners!

WHAT DO WINNERS RECEIVE?

All winners receive:

  • a certificate in celebration of their win
  • their work posted on the InspirED website with select judges' comments
  • a press release template to customize for media and
  • a digital Brilliance Award-Winner badge for your website

Gold winners will be offered a By Example interview-based case study for a deeper dive into the project's process and success.

WHAT ARE THE TERMS?

Submission of entries to the InspirED School Marketers Brilliance Awards acknowledges the right of InspirED to use them for publicity for the purpose of promoting future competitions or the InspirED website. Securing the release for any entries, whether digital or printed, is the responsibility of the entrant. All printed submissions become the property of InspirED and will not be returned. InspirED may re-categorize submissions at its discretion. In the event that there aren't sufficient or awardable entries in any one category, the category will not be judged and entry fees will be refunded. The judges will review all submissions and their decisions on categories and winners are final. Judges will recuse themselves from judging work from their own school or company.
