In 2003, when an agency creative director asked Michael if he would like to shoot images for a top tier independent school, Michael jumped at the opportunity. He had vast experience with corporate clients, but the idea of working in classrooms, labs, and on athletic fields was a dream come true. Now independent schools across the country are among his favorite clients.
Michael possesses the gift of gaining the trust of his subjects in a matter of minutes, a skill crucial to working with children and teenagers in an academic environment. He keeps a low profile, working alone or with one assistant, and is in constant pursuit of that magic moment when a genuine connection is on full display between students as well as between students and teachers.
